Santa Fun Run
santa fun run
Twas 22 nights before Christmas...
Fancy getting in the festive spirit? Feel a 5k fun run dressed as Father Christmas is the way to do it? Fear not...the annual Santa Fun Run is back! Head on down to Maiden Castle on Sunday 3rd December 2017, pick up your provided Santa suit and get running. All entry proceeds go to the British Heart Foundation. Book now to avoid disappointment!
The British Heart Foundation is a national charity tackling the UK’s biggest killer: Heart Disease. We will be raising funds for the County Durham branch, so all the money will help those affected by the disease in the local area. BHF funds life-saving research and promotes good healthcare practice, supporting people to stop smoking and helping them to take other measures in order to reduce their risk of heart disease.
This event is open to anyone - £15 for adults (who will receive a Santa suit - to keep!) and £10 for children (who are encouraged to turn up in their best Christmas-related fancy dress!)
VENUE: Maiden Castle (Graham Sports Centre) - same location as the weekly Durham Parkrun.
If you are a student: Please note that you need to be signed up as a member of DUCK to participate in this event (membership is free of charge). You can sign up here on the SU website: https://www.durhamsu.com/duck.
If you are NOT a student: when it asks you to sign in choose the 'sign up as guest' option. This should allow you to purchase however many tickets you require. However, if you are having trouble with this, you can book your place on this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScwodsO8Neu-hg43DqC9o6rSJLIpZX7kiCUsw5FHWDSMFLyeg/viewform and pay on the day!
It is also possible to pay on the day without booking - but we can't guarantee that there will be enough Santa suits to go round, so booking advised!
