Santa Fun Run

santa fun run

On a frosty winter’s morning in early December, dozens of Santas gather at Maiden Castle for the most fun 5km fun run you’ve ever seen – and you could be one of them! Durham students and locals alike join together in this excellent event, raising money for the fantastic British Heart Foundation. Get festive in your Santa costume (provided) and chase the Christmas pudding around our 5km course - everyone can take part in this fundraising fun!

The British Heart Foundation is a fantastic national charity tackling the UK’s biggest killer: Heart Disease. BHF funds life-saving research and promotes good healthcare practice, supporting people to stop smoking and helping them to take other measures in order to reduce their risk of heart disease.

This event is open to both Durham University students, and Durham residents. If you are not a student, feel free to turn up on the day, with £15 (adult) or £10 (children), to receive your santa suit and take part in this great event.
