This project is in aid of united through sport

The work

The Argentina Expedition involves working with two amazing organisations; the first of which is United Through Sport based in Buenos Aires. Here we will be volunteering for two weeks helping English and PE teachers in delivering their classes both in English language and sport sessions. This would be a great opportunity for any keen sportspeople or anyone learning/reading Spanish (not that this is a requirement) to utilise and pass on your skills to disadvantaged children in the area. We will then spend a further two weeks working in a (TBC Animal Sanctuary); carrying out maintenance to the site, feeding the animals, and harvesting crops for feeding. The sanctuary will require moderate physical fitness/ability, but will be thoroughly rewarding knowing that our work aids the rehabilitation of previously mistreated and exploited natural creatures.

Travel opportunities

Whilst the 1-2 week-long travel week is not fully confirmed yet, Argentina has lots of amazing things to offer! We could explore the bustling Buenos Aires, where the Tango Festival y Mundial and the Vinos y Bodegras (Wine Festival) will be occurring at the same time we are there. We can also explore Argentina’s natural wonders, specifically Glacier Perito Moreno in the South and the Iguazú Falls in the heart of the jungle in the North. Whatever your interest, Argentina’s diverse sights and activities would cater for all!
